365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, 21st November, 2025: “India’s logistics sector is entering a transformative decade, driven by the National Logistics Policy, PM GatiShakti, and massive multimodal infrastructure investments. For this growth to be sustainable, we must build a workforce that is as modern, tech-savvy and future-ready as the infrastructure itself,” said Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, while inaugurating the Centre of Logistics Training for Excellence (COLTE) at the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) campus in Hyderabad today.
Established by Redington Foundation (the CSR arm of Redington Limited) in partnership with the Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC), COLTE Hyderabad is the second such centre after the highly successful Chennai facility launched in January 2024. The Chennai centre has already become a national benchmark, training hundreds of youth and working professionals using cutting-edge AR/VR modules, industry-grade simulators, and strong academia-industry collaboration.

Speaking at the launch, Shri Jayant Chaudhary added, “Centres like COLTE Hyderabad represent the future of logistics skilling — technology-driven, industry-designed, and perfectly aligned with real-world operational needs. As automation, digital supply chains and new-age mobility reshape the sector, skilled talent will determine India’s global competitiveness. We are committed to equipping lakhs of young Indians with the capabilities that will power efficiency, resilience and leadership in India’s logistics economy.”
The Hyderabad centre takes skilling to the next level with advanced simulation labs for truck driving, warehouse operations and forklift handling. Its curriculum, co-created with LSC and leading industry players, integrates Industry 4.0 technologies and emerging supply-chain tools to deliver job-ready, future-focused skills. Located in one of India’s fastest-growing logistics hubs, COLTE Hyderabad will significantly boost employability for Telangana’s youth and create a strong talent pipeline for the region.

R. Venkatesh, Global Chief Sustainability Officer, Redington Ltd., said, “The Chennai COLTE proved that technology-enabled training can dramatically improve job-readiness in logistics. Encouraged by its impact, we are proud to bring world in Hyderabad world-class simulators, digital learning platforms and industry-aligned programs. Our aim is to develop a future-ready workforce that can confidently power India’s rapidly evolving, technology-driven logistics ecosystem.”
The launch of COLTE Hyderabad strengthens the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship’s mission to build sector-specific Centres of Excellence, enhance industry capabilities, and create a globally competitive workforce that will propel India’s logistics sector to new heights.
