365Telugu.com online news,July 9th,2023: With a significant progress in child protection measures in Kashmir, India out from the list of countries with children in armed conflict. In the past 9 years, the duo of Modi and Shah has tirelessly worked to establish a new identity for India on the global stage. The sucfcessful strategies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have resulted in India’s removal from the United Nations’ ‘Children and Armed Conflict Report’ for the first time in 12 years. The United Nations has recognized that the Indian government has taken significant steps, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, to ensure better protection for children.
Previously, India’s name was listed alongside countries like Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Lake Chad Basin, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the Philippines in the “disgraced list.” However, the Modi-Shah duo has achieved the seemingly impossible. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has removed India’s name from the latest edition of the ‘Children and Armed Conflict Report.’
Previously, Jammu and Kashmir was referred to as a “conflict zone” in this report concerning child rights violations. The latest version of the annual report was released on Tuesday. The report highlights the impact of armed conflicts on children and the violation of their rights in various countries.
Due to the security situation and armed conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, the United Nations had previously placed India in the list of “disgraced countries.” However, as a result of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, Jammu and Kashmir, now on the path of progress, is no longer part of the UN’s list of countries with children in armed conflict.
Over the past 9 years, the Modi-Shah duo has executed one masterstroke after another, and their efforts to integrate Jammu and Kashmir into the mainstream are paying off. When the diligent leader Amit Shah revoked Article 370 and made Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India, it faced opposition from all opposition parties.
The opposition claimed that “bloodshed would ensue in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.” However, Shah’s strategic policies in Indian politics ensured that no one dared to raise even a single objection.
After the abrogation of Article 370, it became possible to establish infrastructure, such as the Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board, under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Many measures suggested by the United Nations have already been implemented, including training the armed and security forces on child protection, banning the use of force on children, and discontinuing the use of pellet guns. It has also been decided that children will be detained for the shortest possible period when there are no other alternatives.
The results of Amit Shah’s strategic policies are evident in the fact that the removal of Article 370 and 35A has given India a distinct identity in the world. India’s exclusion from the disgraced list of the UN’s ‘Children and Armed Conflict Report’ is a significant achievement. India has now entered a new era.
