The airline is scheduled to operate over 1,800 flights today, successfully reconnecting its entire network of destinations.

The carrier’s On-Time Performance (OTP) has shown significant recovery, climbing to 91% across the network, up sharply from approximately 75% recorded yesterday.

Key Recovery Metrics

IndiGo highlighted the significant strides made in restoring operational stability:

  • Flights Operated: Over 1,800 today, an increase from approximately 1,650 yesterday.
  • On-Time Performance (OTP): Improved to 91% across the network.
  • Network Status: Full coverage restored, connecting all operating stations.
  • Cancellations: All cancellations for today’s schedule were executed and notified to customers in advance yesterday.

“While IndiGo is progressing further on the path to full recovery, we remain committed to assisting our customers and addressing their queries and requests on a war footing,” stated an IndiGo Spokesperson.

Customer Assistance and Refunds Expedited

The airline detailed the extensive measures taken to manage the backlog and assist stranded passengers:

  • Refunds: ₹827 crores has already been refunded for cancellations up to December 15, 2025, with the remaining refunds currently under process.
  • Customer Logistics (Dec 1–7, 2025):
    • Arranged over 9,500 hotel rooms for stranded customers.
    • Provided close to 10,000 cabs/buses for ground transport.
    • Delivered over 4,500 bags and expects to deliver the remaining luggage within the next 36 hours.

The airline confirmed that it is assisting over 2 lakh customers daily across various communication channels.

IndiGo reiterated that all operations are fully compliant with relevant Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) norms and safety regulations and expressed “sincerest apologies for the flight disruptions in the past few days,” thanking passengers for their patience.
