365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, September 11th, 2025: Indofast Energy, India’s premier battery-swapping solutions provider, has announced the launch of its 1,000th battery swap station, establishing the nation’s most extensive electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure network in record time.
The milestone station, now operational at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Railway Station, underscores Indofast Energy’s rapid execution and commitment to advancing India’s electric mobility ecosystem.
Nationwide Network Driving EV Adoption
Spanning 10 states and 22 cities, Indofast’s network covers key mobility hubs, with Delhi NCR hosting 332 stations, Bengaluru 259, and Hyderabad 124. This infrastructure supports India’s booming gig economy, transforming operations for quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery sectors.

To date, the network has facilitated over 39 million battery swaps, powering more than 50,000 EVs to travel over 1.06 billion kilometers-equivalent to circling the Earth 26,000 times. This has led to a reduction of approximately 55,000 metric tonnes of tailpipe CO₂ emissions, highlighting the environmental impact of Indofast’s efforts.
Empowering Livelihoods and Efficiency
At the ‘Swap Parade’ in Bengaluru, held to celebrate World EV Day and this milestone, CEO Anant Badjatya stated, “Our 1,000 swap stations mark a pivotal step toward accessible, affordable, and sustainable electric mobility.
Our Battery-as-a-Service model eliminates range anxiety and long charging times, enabling drivers to swap batteries in under two minutes-faster than refueling a conventional vehicle. This empowers delivery executives, ride-sharing drivers, and commuters, making EVs a practical choice for everyday Indians.”

The network supports nearly 78,000 livelihoods, reducing downtime and operational costs for fleet operators. The two-minute swap time has boosted efficiency, particularly for two-wheelers, followed by three-wheelers and light commercial vehicles, enabling delivery riders to increase daily orders and earnings. This has spurred a trend of riders purchasing their own EVs, reducing reliance on fleet operators.
Strategic Partnerships Fueling Growth
Indofast has collaborated with leading vehicle partners, including Zypp, Omega Seiki Mobility, Shadowfax, Triev, Wickedride, Green Drive, Eveez, Hala Mobility, Rapido, Whizz, bluwheelz, and Loadshare, as well as infrastructure partners like IOCL, Indian Railways, BESCOM, DTL, BRPL, BYPL, STATIQ, Power Pod, BMRCL, MMRC, and HMR. These partnerships have created direct jobs and enabled gig workers and small businesses to adopt cost-effective, eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Ambitious Expansion Plans
Indofast aims to scale its network to 2,750 swap stations and support 1.5 lakh vehicles by March 2026, expanding into five new cities-Chennai, Mumbai, Jaipur, Pune, and Agra-while strengthening its presence in existing markets like Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
The company’s long-term vision is to establish 10,000 swap stations across 40+ cities within three years, making electric mobility the default choice for commercial and personal transportation in India.
