The collaboration aims to boost international arrivals and attract investments by enhancing global visibility of Indonesia’s flagship ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ campaign.

The agreement was signed in Jakarta on August 13, 2025, by Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy Minister for Marketing, Ministry of Tourism, Republic of Indonesia, and Kaushik Ghosh, Head – Australasia, VFS Global.

“We are excited to join forces with VFS Global to take the Wonderful Indonesia campaign to new heights. Leveraging VFS Global’s presence in over 160 countries, we will inspire more travellers worldwide to discover the beauty and cultural richness of Indonesia,” said Ni Made Ayu Marthini.

VFS Global, an official partner of Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration since 2024, has also launched the e-Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) platform for travellers from 97 eligible countries, enabling faster and smoother online visa applications.

“Through this collaboration, we aim to amplify Indonesia’s tourism offerings globally and make travel to the country more seamless. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s Tourism 5.0 vision, which leverages innovation and AI for more effective destination marketing,” said Kaushik Ghosh.

Strong Tourism Growth

Indonesia welcomed 13.9 million international visitors in 2024, a 19% rise from the previous year and the highest in the past five years. For 2025, the government is targeting 14.6 to 16 million foreign arrivals.

India has emerged as Indonesia’s largest South & Central Asian market and sixth largest globally, contributing over 710,688 Indian tourists in 2024. The Ministry anticipates this number to rise to 918,480 in 2025.

Expanding Promotion Network
