The highlight of the project, the Material Recovery Facility (MRF), was inaugurated by Shri Rammohan Naidu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation, along with prominent dignitaries including Shri Shankar Lalwani, MP Indore, Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister of MP Urban Development, and Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of Indore.   • On-Site Waste Processing: Indore Airport now processes its daily waste of 750 kg on-site, significantly reducing landfill dependency.
  • Advanced Wet Waste Unit: Organic waste is transformed into nutrient-rich compost, which will be used to enrich airport landscaping.
  • Material Recovery Facility (MRF): Dry waste is meticulously segregated into 10 categories for recycling.
  • Self-Sustaining Model: Revenue generated from compost and recycled materials will cover operational costs, including worker salaries, from the third year onward.
  • Awareness Campaigns: Public outreach initiatives encourage passengers and staff to adopt responsible waste disposal practices.
