365telugu.com online news,Gandhinagar, November 17, 2025: Infibeam Avenues Ltd (NSE: INFIBEAM, BSE: 539807), one of India’s leading AI-powered fintech firms, has been granted in-principle authorisation by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an offline Payment Aggregator under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
The new licence empowers the company’s flagship CCAvenue platform to aggregate and process payments at physical merchant locations through Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals, in addition to its long-standing online payment services.
With this approval, Infibeam Avenues now holds four key RBI licences in the payments space: Online Payment Aggregator (PAO), Offline Payment Aggregator, Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI), and Bharat Bill Payment Operating Unit (BBPOU).

Speaking on the development, Mr Vishwas Patel, Joint Managing Director, Infibeam Avenues Ltd, said, “Our compliance-first philosophy has always been our biggest strength. This licence gives us the regulatory framework to scale our POS offerings in a structured way and cater to millions of merchants as offline digital payments surge across the country.”
The company had already entered the offline segment last year with the launch of CCAvenue SoundBox Max — an innovative all-in-one device that accepts UPI, debit/credit cards, and QR payments with instant voice confirmation.

The timing aligns perfectly with India’s booming POS ecosystem. According to RBI data, POS terminal deployments grew 24.7% year-on-year in FY 2024-25 to cross 11 million units. Industry reports project the Indian POS market to expand from ₹38.82 billion in 2024 to ₹135.32 billion by 2034, registering a CAGR of 13.3%.
With the offline PA licence now in hand, Infibeam Avenues is positioned to capture a larger share of India’s fast-converging online and offline payments market, offering merchants a seamless omnichannel payment experience under the trusted CCAvenue brand.
