The operator outperformed all others in key metrics such as network availability, broadband performance, accessibility, and call retainability—further solidifying its reputation for delivering the most dependable and high-performing network in the region.
The drive test spanned a wide range of urban and coastal areas in and around Visakhapatnam. Major routes such as Siripuram Junction, IT Park Beach, MVP Colony, Rushikonda Beach, Bheemili, and Gajuwaka were covered. The test also included critical city hotspots like Vizag Steel Plant, RTC Bus Complex, Visakhapatnam Railway Station, and the Airport, as well as coastal locations including Ferry Boat Line, Dock Viewpoint, and the Rambilli Naval Dockyard.
Jio stood out with a Call Setup Success Rate of 99.83%, the highest among all telecom providers. The network also achieved an ultra-low mute or call silence rate of just 0.72%, ensuring consistently clear voice communication.
In terms of data performance, Jio led by a wide margin, clocking an average download speed of 204.91 Mbps and upload speed of 18.02 Mbps. The network also recorded ultra-low latency, with the 50th percentile latency at only 23 milliseconds—crucial for lag-free video calls and online gaming.
Jio’s performance in voice continuity was equally impressive, with a zero-call drop rate throughout the test region, delivering seamless call connectivity across Visakhapatnam.
The operator also led in signal quality, with 48.87% of the network rated ‘Excellent’ in signal strength. Instances of poor coverage were minimal—just 2.37%, a testament to Jio’s robust and optimized network infrastructure.
