On Sunday, members of the Deccan Journalist Housing Society (DJHS) visited Future City (Fourth City) for a special tour. The visit was in line with an earlier announcement by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who declared that journalists would be provided with housing plots in Future City. During the visit, DJHS members held a general body meeting to discuss the matter and expressed their gratitude to CM Revanth Reddy for his initiative.

They also thanked Information Minister P. Srinivas Reddy and Media Academy Chairman Srinivas Reddy for their efforts in making this possible. Journalists who visited the area expressed interest in the environment of Future City.

During the meeting, DJHS President B. Ravi, Vice President Maripala Srinivas, Treasurer Chilukuri Ayyappa, and directors Danda Ramakrishna, Dega Kumar, and Nagaraju spoke about the developments. The members urged the government to provide housing plots to journalists as soon as possible. They reiterated that they were in favor of the Chief Minister’s decision and requested that efforts be made to ensure the plots are allotted within the next six months.

DJHS President B. Ravi emphasized that Future City would become the fourth city of Hyderabad. The area already houses an Amazon data center, and plans for a Skill University and a World Trade Center are underway. The city is also aiming to be a pollution-free area through net-zero development. The government is considering developing Future City on par with other key areas like Hitech City and Gachibowli.

The announcement of housing plots for journalists has been welcomed by the DJHS, and the members expressed confidence that the metro rail line coming to Future City would add further benefits to the region. They also appealed for unity among journalists to achieve their goal and to work collectively towards securing their housing plots.
