Initially launched with the MG Windsor, the BaaS program has garnered widespread positive response, prompting this expansion.
Through the BaaS initiative, customers can now purchase the compact, city-friendly MG Comet EV at a base price of ₹4.99 lakh, with a battery rental cost of ₹2.5 per kilometer. Similarly, India’s first fully electric internet SUV, the MG ZS EV, is available at ₹13.99 lakh, with a battery rental rate of ₹4.5 per kilometer.
This innovative ownership model allows customers to pay only for battery usage, providing a flexible and cost-effective alternative for those entering the EV space. To further enhance the ownership experience, the program also offers an assured 60% buyback value after three years of ownership, delivering peace of mind to customers.
Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, expressed enthusiasm about the program’s expansion, saying, “With BaaS, we’ve made EV ownership more accessible than ever. Given the strong reception to the Windsor under this model, we’re thrilled to extend its benefits to the Comet and ZS. This unique initiative will undoubtedly accelerate EV adoption in India.”
Supporting this program is a strong network of finance partners, including Bajaj Finserv, Hero Fincorp, Vidyut, and Ecofy Autovert. These partnerships aim to provide customers across the country with a smooth, hassle-free transition to electric mobility.
The MG Comet EV is designed to cater to urban mobility with its spacious yet compact design, offering a certified range of 230 km on a single charge and over 55 i-SMART features. The MG ZS EV, equipped with a 50.3 kWh battery pack, boasts a certified range of 461 km per charge, making it India’s first pure electric internet SUV.
With this extended program, JSW MG Motor India continues to reshape the EV landscape, offering consumers more flexibility, affordability, and ease of ownership.
