365telugu.com Online News, Hyderabad, June 7, 2025: The iconic Khairatabad Maha Ganapathi, renowned for elevating Hyderabad’s prestige globally, will this year manifest as ‘Sri Vishwashanti Mahashakti Ganapathi’. As the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee marks the 71st year of the Maha Ganapathi idol’s installation, organizers have announced plans to install a colossal 69-foot idol.
Idol Design: A Symbol of World Peace
With the current global unrest and wars causing widespread loss of life and property, this ‘Sri Vishwashanti Mahashakti Ganapathi’ is being installed with a fervent prayer for world peace. To the right of the main deity will be Lord Puri Jagannath, and to the left, Sri Lalitha Tripura Sundari Devi. In the sub-mandapams, Lord Sri Lakshmi Sametha Hayagreeva Swamy will be on the right, and Sri Gajjelamma Devi on the left.
The idol will feature Lord Ganesha with three faces and eight arms, seated under the shade of a five-hooded Adishesha, promising to captivate devotees. The main idol will stand at 69 feet tall and 28 feet wide, while the sub-mandapam idols will be up to 18 feet. The idol’s design was unveiled on Friday evening.
Given that this year is ‘Vishva Sanama Samvatsaram,’ organizers believe that if devotees sincerely worship the Lord for eleven days, Ganapathi, the remover of obstacles, will bestow world peace.

Preparations Begin with Auspicious ‘Karra Puja’
The ‘Karra Puja’ ceremony, marking the auspicious beginning of the Khairatabad Maha Ganapathi idol installation, was held grandly on Friday evening. Several dignitaries attended the event, including Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, MLA Danam Nagender, and Corporator Vijaya Reddy. Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee Chairman Singari Rajkumar and Mahesh Yadav, among others, participated in the program. With this traditional ‘Karra Puja,’ the preparations for the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsavam have officially commenced.
