His soulful renditions in Telugu films, including “Yele Yele” from Nithiin’s Takkari, “O Bachelor” from Victory, and “Gunde Godarila” from Ram Pothineni’s Maska, earned him widespread acclaim, thanks to opportunities provided by the late music director Chakri.

On September 19, Zubeen had traveled to Singapore for the Northeast Festival. Tragically, he suffered a fatal accident while scuba diving. Despite being rushed to a hospital in critical condition, he passed away during treatment, leaving the Indian film and music industry in mourning.
