365telugu.com online news,Mumbai, September 24, 2025: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has entered into a strategic partnership with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to jointly support the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme of the Indian Air Force. The consortium will soon submit its response to the Expression of Interest (EoI) issued by the Government of India’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA).

This collaboration brings together L&T’s proven capabilities in developing strategic defence and aerospace platforms with BEL’s expertise in defence electronics and mission-critical systems. Together, the two organisations aim to contribute significantly to India’s indigenously developed 5th-generation fighter aircraft programme.

The partnership marks a key milestone in strengthening India’s defence ecosystem and aligns with the Government’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. By leveraging their combined strengths, L&T and BEL are set to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge solutions to bolster national security.

Both companies have already played crucial roles in India’s indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme—L&T by supplying major aero-structure modules, and BEL by developing advanced avionics and electronic systems. Building on this legacy, the consortium aims to ensure timely delivery of world-class platforms for the Indian Air Force.

Commenting on the collaboration, S. N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director, L&T, said:

“This partnership with BEL is a significant step in our commitment to the modernisation of India’s defence capabilities. Both organisations are leaders in their respective domains, and our combined expertise will accelerate the delivery of next-generation technologies for the Indian Air Force.”

Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, BEL, added:
“The AMCA programme represents India’s growing strength in defence technology. Partnering with L&T is a vital step toward realising this vision. With L&T’s engineering excellence and BEL’s defence electronics expertise, we are confident of delivering a world-class fighter aircraft solution that will serve the nation for decades to come.”
