365elugu.com online news,Mumbai,December 13th, 2025: Larsen & Toubro’s Construction & Mining Machinery business (L&T CMB) today asserted its technological leadership at Excon 2025 in Bengaluru, presenting its vision for smart construction, remote operations, and sustainable infrastructure solutions tailored for India’s growing needs.
With the exhibition focusing heavily on digital convergence and next-generation project execution, L&T underscored its commitment to supporting India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure landscape with intelligent, safer, and more efficient systems.
Landmark Remote Operation Demonstration
The highlight at Stall OD17 was a landmark demonstration: the secure tele-operation of a Komatsu Hydraulic Excavator located over 7,000 kilometers away in Japan, controlled remotely from Bengaluru.

This breakthrough is powered by EarthBrain, Komatsu’s smart construction ecosystem. EarthBrain integrates machines, personnel, and worksites into a unified digital environment using high-speed data transmission, real-time feedback, drone surveys, IoT sensors, and 3D terrain models.
Focus on Technology, Sustainability, and Skills
Commenting on the occasion, Arvind K Garg, Advisor to L&T Chairman & Managing Director, emphasized the core strategy: “Technology, sustainability and skill development must go hand-in-hand to realise India’s infrastructure ambitions. By introducing connected, hybrid and intelligent machines, we are enabling infrastructure companies to achieve higher productivity and lower lifecycle costs.”
L&T showcased a future-ready portfolio of Komatsu and L&T machines designed for India’s diverse infrastructure requirements. Key highlights included:
New Komatsu Models: The newly launched PC225 heavy-duty excavator, the PC390 and PC350 dual-model offering, and the PC500 designed for mid-mining operations.
Hybrid Solutions: The HB365 Hybrid Excavator, showcasing cleaner, efficient technology.
Compact Solutions: Komatsu PC35, PC81, and PC136, targeting urban and municipal projects.
Indigenous Innovations: The award-winning TRB60 Trencher for faster, deeper trenching, and the L&T Crusher for aggregates and material processing.
Komatsu Marks Two Decades in India
Komatsu marked its 20th year in India by introducing the Smart Construction 3DMG Display from Japan, featuring the Teleoperation Cockpit and a Humanoid Robot—a first in the construction equipment industry.

Nobukazu Takeuchi, Managing Director, Komatsu India Private Ltd, stated: “Our innovations underline a strong commitment to digital excellence, sustainability, and operator-skill development under CSR initiatives. Our technologies will help build a smarter, more sustainable future.”
Sustainability was central to L&T’s showcase, supported by features like cleaner engines, hybrid systems, optimised hydraulics, and longer component life. The company also reinforced its strong after-sales ecosystem, which includes six service centres, ISO-certified repair facilities, and structured operator training.
“Our focus at Excon 2025 is clear—to empower infrastructure companies with intelligent, reliable and future-ready solutions. From smart construction to remote operations, we are introducing technologies that make projects faster, safer and far more predictable,” said Vivek Hajela, Executive Vice President & Head, L&T Construction & Mining Machinery.
