365telugu.com online news, December 24, 2025: The Transportation Infrastructure business vertical of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a “significant” contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for the Mumbai Metro Line 4 project.
Scope of the Contract
The project involves the comprehensive electrification of the 24.72 km long Line 4, which connects Bhakti Park (Wadala) to Cadbury Junction. The corridor features 22 elevated stations. Key responsibilities under this order include:

Power & Traction: Design, manufacture, supply, installation, and commissioning of power supply and traction systems.
SCADA Systems: Provision of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for the entire Metro Line 4 & 4A, covering 32 stations, depots, and receiving substations.
Integrated Infrastructure: Electrical and mechanical (E&M) works, including the installation of Lifts and Escalators for 22 stations and two depots.

L&T’s Growing Dominance in Mumbai Metro
This win marks the third successive order for L&T within the Line 4 & 4A corridor, solidifying its position as a key execution partner for Mumbai’s urban transit expansion. Previous contracts secured by L&T for this corridor include:

Package CA-234: Rolling stock, CBTC signaling, telecommunications, and platform screen doors.
Package CA-168: Ballast-less track-works covering 19.5 km across 15 stations.
The entire project will be managed and executed by L&T’s specialized in-house design and execution teams.
