365telugu.com online news,MUMBAI,February 1,2026: Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) has reported a massive spike in tractor demand, recording a 46% year-on-year growth in the domestic market for January 2026. The company successfully moved 38,484 units locally, compared to 26,305 units during the same period last year.
Global and Domestic Performance
The growth wasn’t limited to India. Mahindra’s export division saw an even more dramatic jump, with a 72% increase in overseas shipments.

Driving Factors: Reservoirs and Policy
Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business, attributed this “robust growth” to favorable environmental and economic conditions. High water reservoir levels across the country have facilitated record-breaking Rabi sowing, directly increasing the need for farm mechanization.
Furthermore, the industry is optimistic following the latest budget announcements. “Expectations of government support and higher allocation in rural development… should positively influence agriculture in the coming months,” Nakra stated.
