365telugu.com, online news, Hyderabad 27thAugust, 2021: In the light of the pandemic, with a view to accelerating vaccinations for the needy, MaxiVision Eye Hospital is organizing a free COVID-19 Vaccination Drive from the 2nd to the 5th of September, 2021. Engineered in partnership with FICCI and Neuberg Diagnostics, the drive will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the mentioned dates and will be administering Covaxin to the attendees.
The large populace of India presents a considerable challenge for the authorities to vaccinate the citizens in time and as required. As of now, about 33% of the Indian population is partially vaccinated whereas only about 9% have received both doses and are fully vaccinated. With a population this large and many facing accessibility issues, private organizations are now stepping forward and doing their bit in aiding the government in vaccinating the needy. MaxiVision Eye Hospital has always been on the forefront of extending help to those in dire need, be it reaching out to Kerala with essential commodities during the floods or providing emergency medical services in the pandemic.
This free vaccination drive is yet another attempt by MaxiVision in doing their bit in helping the society in these uncertain times. The free COVID-19 vaccination drive will be graced by the presence of Mr. Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad alongside FICCI Chairman Muralidharan, Dr. KP Reddy Co-Chairman and Dr. GSK Velu – chariman of MaxiVision Eye Hospital. Despite many rounds of mass vaccination drives conducted by the Telangana government, many sections of the city remain unvaccinated. The hospital plans on distributing half of their vaccine supply in this free vaccination drive and is prepared to extend the drive if the demand continues.
Chief Operating Officer at MaxiVision, Sudheer, comments, “MaxiVision, though it is a single specialty hospital, has always had a heart for charity. When the Kerala floods happened, we reached out with essentials. When the pandemic swept the city, our doctors and paramedics braved themselves and treated patients who were in need of emergency services. This time we are planning to dispense 50% of our vaccine stocks free of cost to the poor and needy. Though Telangana Government is well ahead in mass vaccination drives, this small attempt is to supplement the Government’s efforts in this part of the city. We have created a separate block with all paramedical support in our hospital at Somajiguda. 1000 people can have free vaccines from 2nd till 5th. We will extend the numbers to 2000 if there is continuing demand.”Appointments for the vaccination drive can be made on the below number. Contact: 9390035926
