365Telugu.com online news, 22nd February, 2025: Telugu cinema’s legendary star, Megastar Chiranjeevi, recently launched the second edition of Master of Suspense Hitchcock, a book celebrating the unparalleled legacy of Alfred Hitchcock, one of the most influential filmmakers in cinematic history.

Hitchcock, known as the pioneer of suspense thrillers, set the benchmark for storytelling in global cinema. To commemorate his 125th birth anniversary and a century since the release of his first film, senior journalist and film writer Pulagam Chinnarayana, along with IRTS officer Ravi Padi, collaborated to bring this book to life. The first edition, released on December 18, 2025, was met with overwhelming demand, selling out in just five days. This prompted the release of a second edition, featuring fresh insights and perspectives.

Chiranjeevi, deeply intrigued by the book, expressed his excitement about reading it. Reflecting on his admiration for Hitchcock, he shared, “I watched some of Hitchcock’s films during my college days. This book is something I’d love to explore in my free time over the next ten to fifteen days. It’s truly commendable to see such a work in Telugu. I appreciate the efforts of Pulagam Chinnarayana and Ravi Padi in bringing this valuable book to readers.”

The book also carries forewords from renowned novelist Malladi Venkata Krishnamurthy and acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. Notably, Krishnamurthy, for the first time in his career, released a podcast appreciating the book’s significance.

Comprising 62 essays contributed by 45 directors, seven writers, and ten journalists, Master of Suspense Hitchcock is a must-read for cinema lovers. The book also gained recognition at the Hyderabad Literature Festival (HLF), where veteran Bollywood actor and filmmaker Amol Palekar praised the efforts of Pulagam Chinnarayana and Ravi Padi in bringing this remarkable tribute to life.
