365Telugu.com online news, New Delhi, May 1, 2025 : Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians have announced the inclusion of leg-spinner Raghu Sharma as a replacement for the injured Vignesh Puthur for the remainder of the 2025 IPL season.
Kerala’s left-arm spinner Puthur has been sidelined due to bone stress reactions in both shins, the franchise confirmed. Despite the setback, Puthur will stay with the squad and continue his rehabilitation under the supervision of Mumbai Indians’ medical and fitness team.
31-year-old Raghu Sharma, a right-arm leg-break bowler, was part of MI’s support bowling group and now steps into the main squad. Sharma has represented Punjab and Puducherry in domestic cricket, bringing valuable experience to the team.

In first-class cricket, Sharma has taken 57 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 19.59, with best bowling figures of 7/56. He has also registered 14 wickets in 9 List A games and picked up 3 wickets from 3 T20 appearances.
Puthur had a promising start to his debut IPL season, taking six wickets, including an impressive three-wicket haul against Chennai Super Kings.
