365Telugu.com online news, Hyderabad, June 14th, 2025: The 16th edition of the Monsoon Regatta saw no action on Day 5, as the wind gods failed to cooperate, leaving the teams stranded ashore and the leaderboard unchanged. With four races still remaining in the 12-race series, sailors waited in anticipation for favorable conditions. However, the expected impact of a depression over the Bay of Bengal failed to reach Hussain Sagar, much to the disappointment of participants and organizers alike.

Despite the calm on water, the day wasn’t without celebration. Mr. B. Saidulu, IFS, Secretary, and Mr. G. Tirupathi, Joint Secretary, BC Residential Schools, presided over a special awards ceremony recognizing winners from the non-ranking classes. Young sailors hailing from villages across Telangana, who have been undergoing training at the Yacht Club of Hyderabad over the past two months as part of the Telangana Asian Games Talent Identification Program, were honored for their efforts and achievements.

If weather conditions remain unfavorable, current frontrunners on the leaderboard may benefit by holding their top positions without further challenge — a fortunate turn for those already in podium contention.
