365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad,December 31st,2025: NICMAR University of Construction Studies (NUCS), Hyderabad, and Victoria University (VU), Melbourne, have successfully completed a three-week international initiative titled the “India Cultural and Technical Tour on Climate-Smart Sustainable Infrastructures.”
The program, which ran from November 24 to December 18, 2025, was supported by the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility Grant. It brought together 14 students and three faculty members from Melbourne with 20 students from NICMAR Hyderabad for an intensive exchange focused on green engineering and cross-cultural collaboration.
Technical and Industry Immersion
The academic curriculum, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Shrikant Charhate, featured a blend of expert lectures and hands-on workshops. Key technical themes included:

Comparative Engineering: Pavement design through both Indian and Australian lenses.
Modern Construction Tech: 4D Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D Printing in construction.
Sustainability & ESG: Strategic sessions on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and sustainable urban planning.
To bridge the gap between theory and practice, students conducted field visits to several landmark sites in Hyderabad, including:

Cultural Exchange and Camaraderie
Beyond the classroom, the program emphasized cultural integration. Australian students participated in language workshops for Hindi and Telugu and visited iconic heritage sites such as the Golconda Fort, Charminar, and Rashtrapati Nilayam.
The partnership was further cemented through social activities, including a friendly cricket match between the two universities and a cultural talent showcase hosted by NICMAR students, celebrating India’s diverse traditions.

Strengthening Global Partnerships
This mobility program is a significant milestone in the ongoing academic partnership between NICMAR and Victoria University. By comparing infrastructure systems across two different continents, participants gained professional competencies essential for the global construction industry.
