In support of him, 40,000 party flags and supporters presented Rajgopal Reddy’s nomination papers at the Tahsildar’s office in Chandur. Rajgopal Reddy stated that thousands of people attended, demonstrating the public’s dissatisfaction with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s administration.

In response to allegations of ‘criminal quid pro quo’ against TRS, Rajgopal Reddy stated that he left the assembly with a contract worth Rs 18 thousand crores and ran on the BJP ticket.This election is not for me but for the future of Telangana. He said that TRS has been spreading false propaganda against me for the last two months, but people have seen those lies.

Rajagopal Reddy organized a huge rally from Munugodu to Chundur. “I prayed that the people of the state would take steps to free Telangana from the autocratic rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Referring to the dispute between BJP and TRS officials over Chief Minister’s tantric worship, Rajgopal Reddy said, “My prayers are not like KCR’s”.
