Naga Bharana Chilamakuri, who hails from the dosa-loving region of Rayalaseema, always dreamt of starting his own restaurant. That dream took shape in 2019 when he launched a humble food truck, serving fresh, flavour-packed dosas to locals in Hyderabad.
What began as a small venture soon gained popularity, giving rise to Panchakattu Dosa, a brand built on a simple promise: familiar flavours, served with honesty and at pocket-friendly prices.
Encouraged by growing customer love, the food truck gradually transitioned into a dine-in format, expanding to meet rising demand while holding on to the street-side warmth that defined its beginnings. Today, Panchakattu Dosa runs five outlets across the city, with two more set to open by year-end.
Since onboarding on Zomato, the brand has:

● Grown 101x times in 4 years, with yearly orders increasing from around 1,500 in 2020 to over 1.5 lakh in 2024
● Expanded to five outlets; extended lunch hours to tap into a wider customer base
● Introduced lunchtime combos and strategic add-ons to boost order value, re-engineered its menu with consistent images and clear descriptions
To help small restaurants scale quickly, Zomato has introduced several initiatives in recent years. These include a DIY onboarding tool that helps restaurants get listed on the platform in just 15 minutes, and access to the Restaurant Services Hub, a curated marketplace of verified vendors offering licensing, staffing, and hygiene audit services.
In select cities, new restaurants also benefit from 0% commission for the first 30 days, along with credits for ads and Hyperpure services. As of Q1 FY26, Zomato has an average of 313,000 monthly active food ordering and delivery restaurant partners on the platform.
