365telugu.com Online News, Amaravati, May 24, 2025:Despite the NDA coalition government completing a year in Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has voiced concerns over the Telugu film associations’ lack of recognition for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts in supporting the industry.
Pawan Kalyan reminded everyone of the previous government’s mistreatment of the film industry, including harassment by appointing revenue officials at theaters. He assured that the NDA government is focused on the growth of the entire industry rather than targeting individuals. He even mentioned support for Nagarjuna’s family productions as an example.
He urged industry leaders to avoid informal personal requests for ticket price hikes and instead come forward through formal association discussions. He expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of positive responses from prominent producers such as Dil Raju, Allu Aravind, and Suresh Babu. From now on, personal requests will not be entertained, and discussions will only happen through association representatives.

Kalyan also announced the government’s plan to introduce a Comprehensive Film Development Policy, which will grant industry status to cinema, along with organizing workshops and seminars for skill development.
Additionally, the government will monitor tax collection from theaters, ensure hygiene in cinema halls, and oversee ticket and food prices, particularly in multiplexes and single-screen theaters. Inspections will be conducted based on audience complaints to improve facilities.
