365Telugu.com online news, April 8th,2025: As part of his visit to Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forest and Environment Shri Pawan Kalyan inaugurated a newly constructed wooden bridge at the scenic Sunkarametta Coffee Estates in Araku Mandal, aimed at boosting eco-tourism in the region.
Built at an estimated cost of ₹19 lakhs, the wooden canopy bridge connects lush coffee plantations and is now open to tourists. Prior to the inauguration, Pawan Kalyan, along with Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation (APFDC) Chairman Shri R.V. Sujay Krishna Rangarao, participated in a tree-planting activity within the coffee estates.

Following the tree plantation, Pawan Kalyan formally launched the Canopy Walk experience on the wooden bridge, engaging with forest department officials to learn about the coffee cultivation and eco-system of the region. He also inquired about the intercropping of pepper vines on tall shade trees like Silver Oak.

While walking on the bridge, he took a keen interest in the eco-friendly installations, including treedecks and bird nest-shaped viewing points, appreciating the serene natural beauty. He also visited a photo gallery showcasing the development work undertaken by the Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation.
Pawan Kalyan lauded the efforts of the forest officials in promoting eco-tourism and suggested further steps for enhancing coffee cultivation and tourism infrastructure. He emphasized the need to develop more such eco-tourism projects across the state.

On this occasion, Shri Pawan Kalyan also launched promotional materials for the “Araku Delight” coffee brand, along with posters and brochures for the Sunkarametta Eco-Tourism Project.
The event was attended by APFDC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Rajendra Prasad Khajuria, Visakhapatnam Region Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. Jyothi Tullimelli, District Collector Shri Dinesh Kumar, local village sarpanch Shri Gemmili Chinnababu, and several other dignitaries.
