365Telugu.com online news, November 25th,2024:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for India’s largest green hydrogen hub in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalle district on November 29. The ceremony will take place virtually from the Andhra University Engineering College Grounds in Visakhapatnam, where the Prime Minister will also address a public gathering.

The green hydrogen hub, developed by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), is set to come up on 1,600 acres of land at Pudimadaka in Atchutapuram mandal of Anakapalle district. This landmark project aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a green energy powerhouse and strengthen India’s status as a global leader in green hydrogen production.

Prominent attendees at the event will include Andhra Pradesh Governor Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, state ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives.

This marks PM Modi’s first visit to Andhra Pradesh following the formation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the state, comprising the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena Party (JSP), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

BJP leaders in the region are planning a roadshow to welcome the Prime Minister. Preparations are underway for both the foundation-stone ceremony and the public address.

Visakhapatnam Collector MN Harendhira Prasad, Commissioner of Police Sankarbrata Bagchi, GVMC Commissioner P. Sampath Kumar, and VMRDA Commissioner K.S. Viswanathan are overseeing the arrangements.

The Prime Minister is expected to arrive at INS Dega on the evening of November 29 and will travel to the AU Engineering College Grounds by either road or air. If traveling by road, a brief roadshow from Tycoon Hotel Junction to SP Bungalow (500 meters) is likely to be organized.

Originally proposed to be held closer to the project site in Anakapalle, the event was shifted to Visakhapatnam due to logistical challenges and potential adverse weather, given the forecast of low-pressure activity in the Bay of Bengal.

With this green hydrogen hub, Andhra Pradesh is set to make significant strides in clean energy development, driving India’s transition to a sustainable energy future.
