365Telugu.com online news,June11th2025:Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) could face suspension from the 2026 Indian Premier League following a tragic stampede that occurred during the team’s victory parade near M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on June 4.

The celebratory event, held to mark RCB’s maiden IPL title win, turned disastrous due to severe overcrowding and lack of crowd control, resulting in the death of at least 11 people and injuring over 50 others.

An FIR has been registered against RCB, the event organizer DNA Entertainment, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), citing criminal negligence. Authorities have already arrested RCB’s marketing head Nikhil Sosale, along with several officials from DNA and KSCA, intensifying public scrutiny and demands for accountability.

Though unconfirmed reports have sparked speculation on social media about a potential ban on RCB in the next IPL season, the BCCI has yet to issue an official statement.

The board clarified that the parade was organized independently by the franchise and stated it will wait for the outcome of the ongoing investigations before making any decisions.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from across the cricketing community, with former India coach Gautam Gambhir and other experts questioning the safety of public celebrations without proper security measures. Many are now urging franchises to rethink such open events in the future.

As investigations continue, the future of RCB in IPL 2026 remains uncertain, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a historic celebration for the team and its fans.
