The age old ceremony of cake mixing starts a few months before Christmas and the winter festivities and is considered to be an usher for good tidings and happiness. The celebration of Christmas has grown to become a symbolic time for living in peace and love, similar way our daughters and mothers have been doing with their families, society and their well-being.

Radisson Hitec city brings in Traditional Cake mixing with a motive to cherish special occasions and festivals with our future generations. A cake mixing ceremony is an expression of joy, love, and happiness. This year, Radisson Hitec City has decided to associate the cake mixing ceremony with a noble cause intended to generate massive awareness, improvement of quality of welfare services for females and helping girl child access these services better by rendering a helping hand to underprivileged girls to shape their carrier and find a carrier on their own.

This is part of Radisson Hitec City’s exclusive initiative to support the program Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao ever since the launch of this program launched by Hon’ble prime minister. The program is being implemented in collaboration with Pratham foundation and has completed 5 years. In continuing the program, it was decided to share all the proceedings of Christmas with Pratham Foundation. Taking the pledge to educate and respect our each and every girl of our motherland, the cake mixing
ceremony was set off.

The staff members and specially invited guests of Radisson Hitec City wearing handed gloves, aprons and chefs hats has set to work with handfuls of furit ceremoniously placed on the table mixing the fruit. Once all the fruit was in, handfuls of fruit ceremoniously dumped into the streel basisn, the menfolk mxing the fruit. Once all the fruit was in and well mixed; the bottle were emptied in one by one, with warnings on “no swigs allowed”. That done, the fruit is now going to be placed in a
secure place to soak in all liquid and mature beautifully in time for Christmas and will then be used by the in-house bakery to make plum cakes, pudding etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Pavan Kumar, General Manager, Radisson Hitec City said that it is a tradition at the hotel to welcome the holiday season with a fruit soaking ceremony ahead of Christmas. I loved the tradition and thought it was a novel way to ring in the festive season. The great thing was the camaraderie all around, and the whole hearted manner in which all are involved everyone in the ceremony, he says.
