365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, July 30, 2025: Hyderabad-based Rx Propellant, an Actis platform, proudly announces that its premier life sciences campus, 1GV in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, has been awarded the EDGE Advanced Certification by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.

This esteemed certification recognizes 1GV’s outstanding achievements in energy efficiency, water conservation, and use of low-carbon construction materials—establishing it as one of the world’s most sustainable life sciences research and development campuses.

Purpose-built for lease to life sciences companies engaged in research and innovation, 1GV demonstrates impressive sustainability metrics, including over 44% energy savings, more than 79% water savings, and substantial reductions in embodied energy from construction materials.

These efforts not only reduce carbon emissions but also provide long-term operational cost savings, making 1GV an ideal, future-ready location for pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMO, and MedTech firms.

With this certification, 1GV becomes the second speculative life sciences infrastructure project globally—and within the Rx Propellant portfolio—to receive EDGE Advanced certification. The first was 3GV, another campus in Genome Valley, distinguished as the world’s first green-certified speculative life sciences R&D facility under the EDGE Advanced framework.

Adding to its green credentials, Rx Propellant’s Navi Mumbai Research District (NMR District)—the city’s first and largest planned life sciences ecosystem—has received EDGE Advanced pre-certification. The district’s Phase 1, encompassing 400,000 sq. ft. of the total 2.5 million sq. ft. planned development, is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, with full EDGE certification to follow.
