This milestone marks a significant step in the company’s mission to create a future-ready workforce in Karnataka, specifically targeting high-demand sectors like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software development.

The graduation ceremony, held at the University of Agricultural Sciences, was attended by prominent state officials, including Shri Basavaraj Horatti, Chairperson of the Karnataka Legislative Council, and Shri Santosh S. Lad, Minister for Labour and Employment.

Upskilling for the Digital Economy
The Bengaluru chapter of the SIC program focused on two primary technical tracks:

Artificial Intelligence: 1,100 students completed rigorous training in AI applications.

Strengthening the “Skill India” Mission
The Samsung Innovation Campus is currently active across 10 Indian states. The program is a central component of Samsung’s broader objective to upskill 20,000 students nationally in emerging technologies.

Strategic Partnerships: Executed in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) to ensure industry-aligned certification.

Targeted Impact: Focuses on empowering youth from underserved and semi-urban regions to bridge the digital divide.

SP Chun, Corporate Vice President at Samsung Southwest Asia, emphasized that the program is designed to bridge the gap between academic education and real-world employability. “By certifying these 2,000 learners, we are reinforcing Karnataka’s innovation ecosystem and enabling the next generation of job-ready leaders,” Chun stated.

Shri Santosh S. Lad, Karnataka’s Minister for Labour and Employment, lauded the initiative for aligning student learning with modern industry expectations, noting that such collaborations solidify the state’s position as a global hub for technology talent.
