365telugu.com online news,Mumbai, September 19, 2025:The SBI Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the State Bank of India, has launched the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025.
This initiative aims to provide financial support to 23,230 meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds across India, helping them pursue higher education and become future leaders. As part of this commitment, SBI has pledged ₹90 crore for scholarships in the financial year 2025-2026.
Established in 2022, the SBI Asha Scholarship program demonstrates the bank’s dedication to inclusive growth and long-term nation-building. The scholarship offers a wide range of support, from ₹15,000 to ₹20 lakh annually per student, covering all courses until completion.
Scholarship Details
The scholarship is open to students from Class 9 up to postgraduate programs, with specific categories designed to support:
- School students (Class 9–12)
- Undergraduate and Postgraduate students at top-ranked institutions (NIRF top 300 or NAAC A-rated)
- Students at IITs and IIMs
- Students pursuing medical courses
- Students aspiring to study abroad
- SC/ST students pursuing master’s and higher education abroad at Top 200 QS-ranked universities
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Indian nationals.
- They must have secured at least 75% marks or a 7.0 CGPA in their previous academic year.
- The family income for school students should not exceed ₹3 lakh per annum.
- The family income for college students should not exceed ₹6 lakh per annum.
