This innovative system enables a fully digital, end-to-end process for opening NRE (Non-Resident External) and NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) accounts, significantly enhancing customer convenience.
The initiative was launched by SBI Chairman Shri Challa Sreenivasulu Setty and will be available at SBI branches across India and select overseas locations.
The TAB-based solution eliminates the traditional need for physical paperwork by utilizing digital tools to verify customer documents, making the account opening process faster and more efficient.
Customers can now complete the onboarding process both at branches and during personal visits by SBI representatives.
Speaking at the launch, SBI Chairman Shri Challa Sreenivasulu Setty stated, “The TAB-based digital onboarding for NRI accounts is a significant step forward in delivering a seamless and efficient banking experience.
