365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, November 9th, 2021: Shri Ram Chandra Mission (Heartfulness Institute) has announced that it has been awarded the “Telangana State COVID-19 warrior award” for providing free meals to underprivileged people and street dogs during the ongoing pandemic by the Telangana Social Impact Group (TSIG), the CSR wing of the Government of Telangana. The awards ceremony ‘TSIG Covid-19 Warriors Event’ recognized people who have extended COVID-19 Relief to those affected in 2020 and 2021.
Shri Ram Chandra Mission (Heartfulness Institute) has donated more than 11 Lakhs meals in which 8 Lakhs meals to underprivileged people like migrants, laborers and 2 Lakhs meals to street dogs in Hyderabad. Dr. Nanda Kishore, MD – Internal Medicine and In-charge of Kanha Medical Centre, and Mr. Madhusudan Reddy, PRO and Government Relations, Shri Ramchandra mission (Heartfulness Institute) received the award on behalf of Mr. Kamlesh D Patel affectionately called as Daaji, Guide of Heartfulness from Mr. KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT E&C, MA&UD and Industries & Commerce Departments, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Mr. Sonu Sood, Actor.
On receiving the award, Mr. Vamsi Challagulla, Joint Secretary and Director Operations, Heartfulness Institute said, “Shri Ram Chandra Mission is very proud to receive the Telangana State COVID-19 warrior award from TSIG. The award is a testimony to our commitment to social responsibility with utmost sincerity. This recognition from the Government of Telangana inspires us to contribute more toward social responsibility. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Shri Ram Chandra Mission (Heartfulness Institute) has launched various initiatives for front-line workers and underprivileged people. ‘Breathe Safe’ initiative was one of India’s largest N-95 mask donation campaigns and the Heartfulness team has donated over 7 lakh N-95 masks and more than 2500 PPE kits to healthcare workers across 38 locations in 14 states. The organization has also launched Voice that Cares- Psycho-social First Aid (PSFA) helpline service to provide counseling to people who are suffering from mental health issues and “Healthcare by Heartfulness” Covid Care app to provide covid consultation and telemedicine support to COVID patients for free of cost.
