The camp was organized for students, teachers, and non-teaching staff at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology, and more than 320 women of all ages studying and working at GRIET attended.
Commenting on the session she held, Dr. Archana Prathipati, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, SLG Hospitals said, “Young women must know more about various health hazards which could impact their quality of life in the times ahead. Breast cancer and Cervical cancer are common cancer varieties which might have an adverse impact on women at any stage of their lives. Hence, it is important young adults understand the causes for these cancers, how their spread can be prevented, means to self-screen these cancers, and available treatments to cure. Young and educated women at Gokaraju Rangaraju college were participative during the session today.”
“Such camps will help women stay aware of the threats and health hazards and will enable them with the knowledge of tackling complications. We are happy to conduct this camp to mark International Women’s Day and have assessed the participants’ health condition on all basic parameters,” added Dr. Srinidhi, Consultant General Physician, SLG Hospitals.
