The Minister was the chief guest at the conference of South Indian Physician Doctors held at Warangal Kakatiya Medical College. The session was started by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that doctors have served the people as front warriors during the Corona period, that is why doctors are considered as visible gods. He said that doctors are also serving the patients selflessly.
While the whole world is trembling during the time of Corona, the doctors of our state fearlessly and courageously gave treatment to the Corona patients and saved them. CM KCR is very fond of doctors. Doctors should consider their medical profession sacred. Medicine should be practiced from a service perspective rather than a business perspective.
After the advent of Telangana, the medical sector in the state has developed a lot. The state stands third in the country in the field of medicine. Telangana is number one in the country in pediatrics. Our state stands in the first five positions if we look at the health indices in terms of various aspects of the medical field. Minister Dayakar Rao said that the credit of implementing schemes like KCR Kit is due to this sector.
Before the advent of Telangana, there were only three medical colleges in the state. Today a medical college will be established for each district in the state. Center which recently gave 157 colleges in the country did not give even a single college to Telangana. However, with the initiative of CM KCR, the medical sector is working very well in the state, he said.
