Empowering Merit Across Socio-Economic Barriers
The scholarship program follows a “merit-cum-means” philosophy, aiming to bridge the gap between financial constraints and academic excellence. This year’s statistics highlight a deep impact on grassroots communities:

Economic Support: 83% of the selected scholars come from families with an annual income of less than ₹2.5 lakh.

Inclusivity: The cohort shows a strong representation of female students and individuals with disabilities.

Financial Grants: Undergraduate winners will receive up to ₹2 lakh, while postgraduate scholars are awarded up to ₹6 lakh for their education.

Transforming Lives: A Scholar’s Perspective
One such success story is Yerra Shalini, a farmer’s daughter from Bhadrachalam, Telangana. Currently studying at IIT Ropar, Shalini noted that the scholarship removes the heavy financial burden usually faced by farming families. “This support allows me to pursue my goals with confidence and motivates me to eventually give back to society,” she shared.

A Decade-Long Commitment
This initiative is part of an ambitious pledge made in 2022 by Mrs. Nita Ambani to award 50,000 scholarships over 10 years.

Rooted in the vision of Reliance Founder-Chairman Dhirubhai Ambani, the foundation has already supported 33,471 students to date. Beyond financial aid, the program offers scholars access to global alumni networks, leadership training, and professional mentoring.
