365Telugu.com Online News, New York, July 20, 2023: With the help of Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani, the prestigious Met Museum in America is going to organize an exhibition on Indian history. The exhibition titled ‘Tree and Serpent’ will start from July 21.

The exhibition will showcase the remarkable journey of 600 years since the beginning of the early Buddhist period in India. This exhibition will explain the history of Indian Buddhism from 200 years before Christ to 400 years after Christ.

A special preview program of the ‘Tree and Serpent’ exhibition organized in collaboration with Reliance Industries was held in the US. Along with Nita Ambani, Indian Ambassador to the USA Taranjit Singh Sandhu, US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, ‘Tree and Serpent’, among others from the art world were present.

Expressing her joy on the occasion, Nita Ambani said, “I hail from the land of Buddha in India. Reliance Industries, in partnership with MET, is proud to present the ‘Tree and Serpent’ exhibition. More than 600 years of 125 artefacts dating back to the Buddhist era can be seen in this exhibition.

There is a close connection between Buddha’s thought and Indian culture. Buddha’s ideas still influence the world today. Our endeavor is to spread the Indian culture to the world. Nita Ambani said India is the best in the world.

Nita Ambani is the first Indian Trustee of the prestigious ‘The Met’ museum. In 2019, she was appointed as an honorary trustee of the Met. Since then, Mrs. Ambani has continued to present India’s wonderful art tradition to the world through various initiatives.

Promoting ‘Gates of the Lord: The Tradition of Krishna’ paintings at The Art Institute of Chicago or assisting with exhibitions of Indian art at The Met. Reliance constantly strives to introduce Indian art and culture to a global audience at an international level.

Reliance recently dedicated the ‘Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’ to the race to further promote Indian art and culture. In this, 5 to 6 thousand visitors come every day to see various arts and skills of artists.
