The event brought together over 500 progressive farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Implementing Agencies (IAs), and Cluster-Based Business Organizations (CBBOs) from 24 states and 140 districts across India.
In his address, Shri Chouhan praised the efforts of farmers, FPO members, and institutions, urging them to transform farmers into entrepreneurs and traders to ensure direct benefits.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his commitment to farmers’ welfare, emphasizing agriculture’s critical role in livelihoods and national food security.

“Integrated farming is key to boosting farmers’ income. Relying solely on grains isn’t enough; allied activities must be prioritized,” he stated.
Highlighting the issue of price disparities, Shri Chouhan noted that farmers often receive low prices while consumers pay more, stressing the need to bridge this gap. He announced the upcoming Seed Act to ensure access to high-quality seeds and strict measures against counterfeit seeds and pesticides, with plans for robust legislation to protect farmers.
Encouraging value addition, the Minister said, “Farmers should not just produce but become entrepreneurs through processing and value addition to enhance their income.” He called on FPOs to prioritize small farmers’ welfare, increase turnover, expand membership, and improve credibility and quality, assuring actionable responses to their suggestions.
During the event at the NCDC and NCUI premises in Hauz Khas, Delhi, Shri Chouhan honored exemplary FPOs, CBBOs, and IAs for their achievements in organization, business, and digital innovation.

Agricultural Products Exhibition A grand exhibition featured 267 FPOs displaying cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, organic, processed, and traditional products at the NCDC premises.

Technical Sessions and Discussions The conclave hosted technical sessions and panel discussions on critical topics such as oilseed production, water use efficiency, natural farming, Agricultural Infrastructure Fund, honey production, digital marketing, AGMARK certification, and seed production, with participation from experts, industry leaders, and farmers.

Fostering Farmer Entrepreneurship The event facilitated interactions among FPOs, farmers, buyers, and sellers, creating new market opportunities for rural entrepreneurs. The conclave marks a significant step toward empowering farmers as producers, providers, and partners, driving inclusive and innovative agricultural growth.
This event underscores a powerful Minister-Farmer dialogue, promoting FPO products and fostering the exchange of innovative ideas for the benefit of farmers nationwide.
