365telugu.com online news, Hyderabad, August 5th, 2025: In a move aimed at revitalizing the state’s sports sector, the Telangana government has appointed Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, as the Co-Chairperson of the newly formed Telangana Sports Hub Board.

This appointment is a key part of the Telangana Sports Policy 2025, which seeks to promote sports and provide international-standard infrastructure for athletes. The board’s primary goal is to identify and nurture talented athletes from rural areas, offering them advanced training and facilities in line with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision.

The government believes that Upasana’s leadership will bring a special focus on athlete health and welfare. Her role will involve overseeing sports education, developing modern sports facilities, and implementing welfare-oriented policies.

The Telangana Sports Hub will operate on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It will also be responsible for the transparent management of the Telangana Sports Development Fund (TSDF).

This initiative is expected to mark a new chapter in the state’s sports landscape, positioning Telangana as a major hub for athletic excellence.
