‘Vishwam’ by Arpitha ReddyArpitha Reddy’s latest collection, titled “Vishwam,” is inspired by the profound belief that “Vishvam is Vishnu, and Vishnu is Vishvam.” This exhibition emphasizes Lord Vishnu as the embodiment of the universe and his omnipresent essence, symbolized through the Namam, a spiritual mark.
Reddy blends the aesthetics of ancient frescoes with modern interpretations of Puranic symbols and elements from Hindu mythology. Each artwork reflects significant rituals, goddesses, and spiritual motifs, crafted with a meticulous approach that bridges history and contemporary themes.
Trained at the Guruvayoor Institute of Mural Paintings, she has over two decades of experience in traditional art forms, including Pata Chitra, Phad, Cherial, Tanjore, and Kalamkari. Her works showcase an evolved Kerala mural style, emphasizing symbolism and spirituality.
‘Everything I Never Saw’ by Nishant DangeNishant Dange’s exhibition, “Everything I Never Saw,” delves into a unique blend of nature, symbolism, and feminine beauty, focusing on motifs of butterflies and flora. Dange’s works celebrate the connection between humanity and nature, imbued with primal, spiritual, and mystical elements. His paintings explore the symbolic relationship between butterflies and feminine strength, a recurring theme in his work.
Using a mixed media approach, Dange achieves a balance between the ethereal and the tangible, with a special emphasis on charcoal techniques that lend a photographic quality to his creations. He has received prestigious accolades, including the Bombay Art Society Award, the State Art Exhibition Award, and the Art Society of India Award.
