365Telugu.com online news, November 19th,2024: YouTube, owned by Google, is rolling out an exciting new feature aimed at giving creators more control over their music remixes. Following its introduction of AI-generated songs, the platform is now working on a tool that allows creators to remix songs simply by describing how they want to change the track’s style.
Part of the Dream Track toolset, the “Restyle A Track” feature is currently being tested with a select group of creators. During this initial phase, creators can experiment by selecting the ‘Restyle a track’ option for a song and describing how they’d like to modify its style. Based on the input, YouTube’s AI will generate a 30-second remix, which can then be used by creators in their YouTube Shorts videos.
As explained by the update, “If you want to change a song’s genre or mood, just type in your vision for the remix. You’ll soon receive a customized soundtrack that reimagines the music while preserving the essence of the original song’s vocals and lyrics.”
Google has also clarified that these AI-generated remixes will be credited to the original song. The credit will appear both in the Short video and on the Shorts audio page. Additionally, YouTube will use specific labels to indicate that a track has been modified using AI.
The Dream Track toolset, first introduced in November last year, is powered by Google’s Lyra music generation model, developed by the company’s DeepMind research team.
This move is part of YouTube’s ongoing effort to make the platform more interactive and engaging for creators. In addition to the AI remix feature, YouTube recently launched a tool that helps users find songs by simply humming the tune. Additionally, YouTube has partnered with Universal Music Group (UMG) to create a framework for compensating rights holders in a more structured way.
With these developments, YouTube is further positioning itself as a creative hub, allowing artists and creators to explore new ways of engaging with music content.
