This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to deepening its footprint across Southern India, particularly in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The newly opened Hyderabad regional office will act as the hub for operations across Telangana, complementing Galaxy’s existing zonal office in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, which was launched in February 2025.
Hyderabad, despite its robust medical infrastructure and expanding urban population, continues to face a significant health insurance gap—with nearly 45% of hospitalized patients still uninsured. Galaxy Health Insurance aims to address this challenge by adopting a hybrid outreach model that integrates community engagement, strategic distribution partnerships, and customer-centric service.

As part of its broader expansion plan, Galaxy will establish 14 offices across key districts and onboard over 10,000 insurance agents during the current financial year. This grassroots strategy aims to boost insurance awareness, improve penetration, and generate employment in semi-urban and rural areas.

In October 2024, Galaxy Health Insurance launched its flagship product, Galaxy Promise—a flexible health insurance offering with sum insured options ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹1 crore, available under Signature, Elite, and Premier plans. Since then, the company has insured over 68,000 lives.
