365Telugu.com online news,April 26, 2025:marks the 10th annual International Sculpture Day (ISDay), a global celebration of the art of sculpture organized by the International Sculpture Center (ISC) based in Hamilton, New Jersey. This event aims to raise awareness, appreciation, and enjoyment of sculpture in communities across the globe.
Global Celebrations
ISDay 2025 is being celebrated worldwide with a variety of events:
- Des Moines, Washington: The Des Moines Legacy Foundation and the Inkfish Foundation are hosting a free community event featuring hands-on art activities, live music, and a silent auction.
- Whidbey Island, Washington: Five venues, including the Earth Sanctuary sculpture garden, are participating in ISDay with exhibitions and nature trails featuring stone circles and labyrinths.
- Chattanooga, Tennessee: Sculpture Fields at Montague Park is dedicating “Best for Last,” the final work of sculptor John Henry, as part of a two-day celebration.
- Portland, Oregon: The Pacific Northwest Sculptors are participating in the Gathering of the Guilds at the Oregon Convention Center, featuring a wearable art costume party to celebrate ISDay.
- Farmleigh House and Gardens, Ireland: A guided tour titled “Another Chip off the Old Block” offers insights into the tools and journey from quarry to statue, highlighting the life of stonecutters and carvers.
