365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, October 31st, 2025: A two-day Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design & Entrepreneurship (IDE) commenced at Vardhaman College of Engineering, Shamshabad, on Thursday.
The workshop emphasizes a human-centred approach to innovation, problem-solving, and design thinking, featuring case studies and a visit to the college’s incubation centre.
Organized collaboratively by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Department of School Education and Literacy, NCERT, School Innovation Council, and Wadhwani Foundation, the IDE Bootcamps form a nationwide initiative.

Envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the program aims to foster innovation, design, and entrepreneurial skills among student innovators and innovation ambassadors from higher education institutions and schools.
Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE; Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, AICTE; and Mr. Deeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, virtually inaugurated the initiative across 26 locations in 21 states and Union Territories.
At Vardhaman College, Yogesh Wadhawan, AICTE-MIC, Ministry of Education, New Delhi, led the local inauguration, highlighting the college’s selection as Telangana’s nodal centre due to its robust infrastructure and incubation expertise.
Over 80 participants, including District Education Officers (DEOs), District Science Officers (DSOs), and DIET faculty from across Telangana, attended.
Key local dignitaries included P. Rajeev, Joint Director, Samagra Shiksha, Govt. of Telangana; Yogesh Wadhawan; Shaik Waseem and Dr. Rajesh Kandula (Wadhwani Foundation); Prof. JVR Ravindra, Nodal Centre Head (SPOC); and Dr. J. Krishna Chaitanya, Nodal Centre SPOC.
In his virtual address, Prof. Sitharam outlined the rollout in three phases: the first covering seven locations (including Vardhaman), followed by eight in early November and eleven in mid-November.

He stressed design thinking’s role in achieving Viksit Bharat, urging education officers to cultivate “job givers, not job seekers.” The initiative targets 1,500 DEOs, DSOs, and DIETs to bolster India’s innovation ecosystem.
Mr. Deeraj Sahu described innovation as reimagining processes and services, citing instant delivery and aggregation models, and called the workshop a milestone for educators and students.
Dr. Abhay Jere termed the IDE Bootcamp India’s first-of-its-kind program, inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision.
P. Rajeev noted Indian engineers’ global contributions and potential to lead future platforms.
Shaik Waseem and Dr. Rajesh Kandula detailed Wadhwani Foundation’s support for job creation through skilling and innovation.

Prof. JVR Ravindra advocated transforming classrooms into innovation hubs, citing 30–40 incubated startups with revenue progress.
Dr. J. Krishna Chaitanya delivered the vote of thanks. The program concludes Friday evening.
