365Telugu.com Online News, Vijayawada, October17th, 2022: Finance Department of Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway organized awareness programme on Income Tax deductions at Divisional Railway Auditorium today i.e. K.Srinivasu, IRS, Additional Commissioner Income Tax, TDS graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
D. Srinivasa Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Infrastructure, Vijayawada Division is the Guest of Honour. Around 150 Staff of Accounts and Personnel Departments took part in the programme. At the outset P. Chandrasekhar Babu, Sr. DFM welcomed the Chief Guest and dignitaries on to the dais and thanked the IT Officials for gracing the event on his introductory note.
D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Infrastructure appreciated the efforts of P. Chandrasekhar Babu, Sr. DFM and Staff of finance Department for organizing the Awareness Programme. He suggested the staff to utilize the rare opportunity and acquaint themselves with the provisions of IT Act which is very crucial to their working. D. Srinivasa Rao thanked K.Srinivasu, Additional Commissioner Income Tax, TDS for coming forward and enlightening the staff on the subject of Income tax deductions and explaining the effects of non compliance and other valuable insights.
P. Prem Kumar, IRS, Dy. Commissioner, Income Tax (TDS) gave a power point presentation on TDS (Tax deductions at Source) various sections of Income Tax and its intricacies. He discussed at length regarding the duties and the responsibilities of deductor and consequences of non compliance to the provisions of IT Act. K.Srinivasu and Team of IT officials interacted with the staff and explained them patiently regarding the Income Tax recoveries from salaries and common problems encountered during working.
Staff also enthusiastically participated in the seminar and raised several questions regarding the subject. P.V. Venkateswara Rao, ADFM proposed vote of thanks and concluded the event. B.V. Sudhakar Babu, DFM, P.V. Venkateswara Rao, ADFM, Raghavulu, Income Tax Welfare Inspectors and staff participated in the awareness Programme.
