365Telugu.com online news,October 9th, 2023: Fasting is not only spiritual but also health related. Fasting is keeping the stomach empty for a fixed period of time. Doing this gives rest to the digestive system. Many people in our society follow the fasting rule. Let’s know what to do and what not to do at such a time..?

There are some who don’t touch anything except water while fasting, while there are others who take breakfast. Fasting is a rule that lasts for 12 to 24 hours.

There are many types of this too. For intestinal health, Ayurveda recommends fasting to flush out waste from the body. Fasting is not only good for physical but also for mental health.

Several studies have shown that fasting can cure obesity, high cholesterol and liver problems. Doctors say that fruits, nuts, coconut water, sugarcane juice, milk, curd, buttermilk, raj gira, sabudana, sweet potato and boiled potatoes can be consumed during fasting.

Doctors say that fasting gives different results to each person. Practicing fasting according to body philosophy also has good results. There are many types of fasting such as avoiding salt and sweet substances, drinking only water, liquids such as fruit juice, milk, and giving long breaks between meals. But those who are fasting should not take junk food at all.

A period of 40 to 48 days in which the changes in the body system are repeated is considered as a mandala. During this time no food is required for three days. If you are aware of how your body works, you will know that you do not want to eat on certain days.

You should spend that day without any effort and without food. Finally dogs and cats also have this awareness. One day they will not touch real food. Any day the system refuses to take food, that day allows the body to cleanse itself.

As many people do not know which day they should not eat, in the Indian almanac, that day is marked as Ekadashi. Ekadashi is the 11th lunar day. It comes every 14 days. It is traditionally considered a fasting day.

If some people are unable to fast that day due to their work pressure or lack of spiritual training, they spend the day eating fruits. Medical experts say that if one fasts forcefully without properly preparing the mind and body first, it will be dangerous to health instead of beneficial. If your body, mind and energy are prepared for the practice, you will benefit from fasting.

Frequent smokers and coffee drinkers may find fasting very difficult. So, before starting the fast, prepare your body by eating foods with proper nutritional value. Especially eating fruits and vegetables that are high in water is very beneficial.

Fasting may not be good for everyone. It has many benefits if understood properly.
