Mon. May 20th, 2024 online news May 25th,2023:Lord Vishnu is one of the principal deities in Hinduism and is considered the preserver and protector of the universe. He is part of the Hindu trinity known as the Trimurti, along with Brahma, the creator, and Shiva, the destroyer.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu incarnates on Earth whenever there is a need to restore balance and righteousness. These incarnations are known as avatars. The most famous avatars of Lord Vishnu are Lord Rama, who is the protagonist of the epic Ramayana, and Lord Krishna, who plays a central role in the Mahabharata and is revered as a teacher and philosopher.

Lord Vishnu is typically depicted as a four-armed deity, holding a conch shell, a discus ,a mace (symbolizing power), and a lotus flower (representing purity). He is often portrayed as resting on the serpent Shesha with the goddess Lakshmi, his consort, at his feet.

Devotees of Lord Vishnu worship him in various forms and names, such as Lord Narayana, Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and Lord Venkateshwara (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu worshipped in the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, India). Lord Vishnu is regarded as a compassionate deity who listens to the prayers of his devotees and protects them from evil and harm.

The stories and teachings associated with Lord Vishnu are found in ancient Hindu scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and Puranas. His devotees believe that by cultivating devotion and leading a righteous life, they can attain spiritual liberation and union with the divine.
