A key pillar of MASL’s success is its state-of-the-art grape packhouse in Nashik, inaugurated in 2019. This facility ensures end-to-end process integration, including sorting, packaging, and cold storage, preserving the freshness and quality of grapes while enabling complete product traceability.
Spanning 75,000 square feet within a 6.5-acre site, the packhouse is equipped with 12 precooling chambers and two cold storage units, each with a 170 MT capacity, allowing it to process 80 MT of grapes per day. The facility, managed by over 500 skilled workers per shift, adheres to rigorous quality, consistency, and traceability standards to meet global market demands.

MASL collaborates with over 500 farmers in Nashik, Baramati, and Sangli, enhancing their expertise in grape cultivation through improved irrigation techniques, reduced chemical usage, and sustainable farming practices. This initiative has significantly increased farmers’ exportable yields—tripling production from 2.5 MT per acre to 7.5 MT per acre—while reducing the carbon footprint.
Additionally, MASL is deeply committed to community welfare, generating employment opportunities and conducting training sessions on sustainable farming. Its 15-acre demo farm in Nashik serves as a hub for testing new grape varieties and innovative agricultural techniques, ensuring farmers stay at the forefront of modern farming.

Sustainability is at the core of Mahindra’s Grape Packhouse. The facility incorporates energy-efficient LED lighting, captive solar power generation, and a rainwater harvesting system with a 7-million-liter storage capacity. It also houses an in-house sewage treatment plant for non-potable water use, further reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
MASL’s packhouse has earned prestigious international certifications, including BRCGS, Fairtrade, SMETA (SEDEX), Global GAP, GRASP, and SPRING, alongside domestic accreditations from FSSAI and APEDA, ensuring compliance with the highest global standards.

As part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations, MASL aims to deepen its engagement with local farmers, offering enhanced training in sustainable agriculture while exploring new domestic and international market opportunities for table grapes and other high-value horticultural produce.
