On 7th March, at the 6th Edition of the Women’s Leadership Awards 2025, organized by Hybiz TV in Hyderabad, NMDC’s Director (Personnel), Smt. G. Priyadarshini, was honored under the Government Service category for her outstanding leadership and contributions to governance.

Furthering its commitment to women’s empowerment, NMDC hosted a mental health awareness session at its Head Office on the same day. The session featured Dr. C. Manjula Rao, a distinguished Clinical Psychologist from Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, who spoke about the importance of women’s mental health, resilience, and self-empowerment. She encouraged women to prioritize their well-being and cultivate a positive mindset to navigate challenges effectively.

Speaking at the event, Shri Vishwanath Suresh, Director (Commercial), NMDC, highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to create an inclusive work environment. “Diversity and inclusion should be embedded in an organization’s core values. With our first woman director leading the way, NMDC is proud to see our women employees shattering barriers and redefining leadership in the mining industry,” he said.
Dr. Rao emphasized the power of self-confidence and mindset shifts, stating, “Empowerment starts from within. When women embrace their self-worth, they amplify their voices and drive change. Building self-esteem is crucial to shaping a more inclusive and equitable society for future generations.”
