365Telugu.com online news,Secunderabad, 3rd January 2024: The much awaited and celebrated sports event, ‘Aman Maitri: Oneness through Sports’ was flagged off by DPS, Secunderabad on 3 January 2024 at the the GMC Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
Present on the occasion were several dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Ms. P.V.Padmaja IPS, Superintendent of Police Women Safety Wing, Telangana Govt., congratulated the school for the excellent show and urged everyone, old and young, to focus on health sports.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Anup Kumar Yama-Arjuna awardee -Roller Skating, whose inspiring presence added more hues to the event, exhorted Dipsites to excel in the lucrative and promising domain of sports, reaping its multitude of rewards!
Distinguished members of the Vidyananda Educational Society, under whose aegis, DPS, Secunderabad scanned greater heights, were present on the occassion.
Pro Vice Chairman Mr U V Ganesh extended his appreciation and support to the team.
The event commenced with a solemn opening ceremony, including a resplendent march past, thrilling drills with formations indicating peace and friendship, a karate display and track events, which formed a rich tapestry symbolic of peace, unity, and universal brotherhood which sports can help build.
Suffused with vigour and vitality, students ardently appealed for peace to reign in the whole world!
Students had an enriching and enjoyable day. Their cheering rented the premises as the races were ontheir doting and proud parents and teachers looked on, applauding thunderously!
The Sports event also celebrated the completion of two golden decades since the school’s inception and this event showcased the school’s spectacular growth.
